Post Valentine Frustration

I love doing crafty things...more so on cutting papers. I have thought of doing something for Vday in my son's school. But since there was no advance notice what they're going to do...I didn't bother thinking it will be a normal day for them.

Come Monday....I usually check their bulletin board after I drop him off his class in the morning. That day...I forgot. And in case I miss out reading in the morning...I never fail to take pictures of the homework and other assignment when I pick him up. That day again, I have completely forgotten to do so. I was totally out in my mind.

And they have announce to make something for their friends and to wear something red!

Imagine...GREEN on RED day?!!! I have looked stupid. Other mothers cannot blame the child at this...so all eyes were on me upon getting off the car where everyone was at the gate.

Next year then...there's always the first time and when next year comes....you all wait and see what I can do when I have read the bulletin board! LOL!

Brother/ V-Day

Oh well, I'm so sorry because I have been so busy sewing since I started using my Brother sewing machine....so addictive and I'm hooked!

I want to try the dress tutorials from online blogs, but lets say I've done it...whose gonna wear it? My little boy wouldn't try it on even once I swear. He'd say it's for girls and I can't force him to.

So I guess I'll practice more on sewing pillow cases and the bed spreads and to cut the fabrics straight!

For Valentines Day? We didn't do anything, just the usual day for us. Though we went to the mall to buy the little boy a toy...his Valentines gift. I got Hubby a shirt and we didn't even eat because after we paid for the toy, the little boy started whining, wanting to go home the soonest to play with his new toy. Lesson learned this time, on buying...pay for his item at the end of shopping!

No flowers! Everyone gets flowers. I know I'm not the only one but I have this mixed feeling of wanting to receive and it's ok if not...I don't know. 'Coz flowers wilt and it's kind of just a waste of money whereas if that is converted to something else, then it lasts longer, right?

We'll celebrate on a later date. That's us. It's either before Feb. 14 or after. My then boyfriend (Hubby) don't want to celebrate with everyone and he's reasoning, it's doesn't have to be Valentines day to show someone that you love them. I do agree!

What is CHA?

The Craft and Hobby Association it is. And it held its convention last Jan 29 till last Feb. 1, 2012.

All the scrapbook-ers I know in the planet including the famous Ali Edwards went. And I checked on her website of the update...and for a moment, I've wished I was an American living in America where scrapbook heavens are just everywhere and overflowing with all the goodies and stamps and die cuts and cutting machine all the money could buy!!!

I'm so envious with all the new releases and the DIES!!! And the Silhouette Cameo that I'm so wanting to have. Oh the Sizzix also and the Epic sic with the letterpress kit!

The prices for the die cut machines are not that high...I can save up for that if I'm really that interested but the shipping fee is way too much. That's what discourages me....oh maybe someday I could really save up for that freaking shipping charges and have my Epic and Sizzix. Cameo is so impossible to own and it's would be in my wishlist for now.

I've tried gardening before and it was a failure. Vegetable I mean. 'Coz there are rats around here and when my seedling grows about an inch or two...they harvest before me in the dead of a night.

I have a small garden though and I wanted it filled with lots of plants variety. Our place is small too and if I get to gardening seriously, it's gonna look similar to this down here.

I've always loved rainy days...it gets a little cold in here. Bed weather. Lazy Day. Sleeping Day. And it was Saturday...oh, and in PJ's the whole day.

But I'm not at all happy anymore when it rains continuously for days...business runs slow coz like me, I think everybody else wants to just stay home and just too lazy to get out and they'd rather sleep. And no one drinks soda at this time.

Business wise, I'm not liking it anymore when it rains. =D Unless if it does on evenings and Mr. Sun gets to come out during daytime.

I seldom watch telenovela on TV but when I do...I want to watch it straight without commercials. It's impossible I know and you can't finish the whole series in just one sitting even if it's on DVD.

This is the bad part. I watch it on YouTube till the wee hours of the morning. Last night, rather morning....I finished at 3 am and I have to get up around 7am.

On my screen is City Hunter!!!

The story is ok...not so great but you know why I like it so much...the actor's unbelievably handsome. LOL! Her leading lady as well.

My heart skips everytime he SMILES. So high school right? Yeah I know and I'm actually too old for this but heck...Lee Min Ho is amazingly (again) handsome!

In college back then, I was a sucker for Chinese or half Chinese looking guys. And I'll always be I think. Forever Jet Li fan!!!

And God knows that coz He has given me a half Chinese looking little boy. LOL!

Oh pictures, where art thou?

I've been meaning to attach pictures in my every blog post but just too LAZY to upload them from my cam or phone.

Yes I know, my blog looks so damn dead !

I don't like it at all too....but I'll be trying my hardest to post pictures the next time.

Wow, my hands are full...I have DIY projects lined up that I cannot start with due to some orders I have with my online invitation making.

I get a little frustrated that I cannot work on my projects that I have been dreaming for a long time. I have the materials already, the cloth and the sewing machine. Now that they're here, other things come up.

And it's not at all nice to get frustrated over those things.

I mean I wanted my little business to flourish (who wouldn't) but it's like I wanted it to be on MY time. Whenever I'm FREE like there's no felt flowers waiting to be done.

And I've realized that I'm being ungrateful. I complain instead of being thankful at these things that's pending my other things to do. Because these stuffs are Blessings that I should be Thankful for.
These are answered prayers to what I have prayed for and that this is the time He has chosen to grant it for me.

I feel awful and sorry.

So from now on, I will be always thankful to the things that comes and the other things I have asked for that hasn't been granted, yet.

Thinking positive actually makes me giddy in doing all these things now.

Oh how I love doing what I love doing.

But I will have to start with organizing. Then lining my to-do-DIY projects one by one with no pressure will I think work.

Most importantly...I need to focus on ONE...yes ONE project first.

Because I have a disorder that wanting all things to be done all at the same time, In my case, they are:
1. Sewing
2. Photography
3. Creating invites
4. Cooking
5. Organizing
6. Managing
7. Be all CRAFTY!

Weee...I'm loving Friday again!!!

Weekdays are like me going to school too. Morning rush everyday and we get to come to school late or just in time since the Christmas break was over.

My little boy's tired of the everyday classes. I know he's not enjoying anymore because of their advance lessons which we (parents) think are way too much for Nursery students to absorb. They are just absurd and we can do nothing but complain because it was us who enrolled our child in that school. It was us who chooses it not them begging us to enroll.

It's going to be their exam next week and the reviewers here and it's crazy!

Told their teacher that their lessons are so overwhelming and that I'm not going to push my little boy's baby mind to read a three letter word. In his own time he will. He knows all the letters sound but reading? I don't think he's still that ready. He doesn't even write for Heaven's sake and I actually don't care. Him not being on top of the class doesn't bother me at all given that he's the second to the youngest. Coz I don't think 3 yrs old can compete to 4 and yrs old kids.

I'm still one proud Mama given that he's not at the last spot in the class, he's actually doing pretty good specially in Math.

Randomness

-Update of my little love: He's doing good with regards to his UTI and we'll have his urine checked again on Friday.

-Last year, December...there was a school Christmas tree contest and everything should be recycled. We basically bought paint, a whole lot of them and some kraft papers and flowers, tons of them made from paper. And who would have thought we'd get the 2nd place. Yes, we did!!!

Prize was in cash and tomorrow, we're buying the entire class (my son's only) snack from the money we've won.

-I haven't finished my Invites yet...client takes time to text me back or reply to my emails. Wedding is 17 days to go.

-It's gonna be Friday soon and we're going to Zoofari again together with my BFF and our kids.

-Once I'm done with my reports, reports and more reports to make templates as well...(since I'm in the process of learning to run my MIL's business seriously this time)....I'm going to sew sew and SEW!

-And tonight, we're going to have pizza. Little boy's been wanting to for the past days. Hubby and I kind of want to gag at the sight of it...but we're still going to sit there, pretend that we love it just for our little prince's sake. And then we're hitting Starbucks...finally! This is actually the fourth time we've planned on going but I feel so lazy when it's about time to leave.

No swimming

Apparently our swimming outing has been postponed. MIL and little boy aren't at their best of health and decided to go some other time when everyone's OK.

My little dumpling loves water. He got a huge inflatable pool on Christmas from his Mommy (Granny) because the old one already got so holey and after opening the present...he's been swimming the entire week till New Year. We had to put it away since he's having colds already.

I need my shut eye now. Nighty night!

Back to school

It's officially the first day of class this year, 2012. And my little boy wasn't really looking forward to it. He dreaded it. He hated it and despise the word school.

We had a little drama going in the classroom, and wouldn't let go of me with the "hhmmm hhmmm" sound. Translation? "Don't leave me here".

I told him I'd go home and get his toys so he can play with his classmates after class. He agreed and smiled and went inside...though I packed his toys in the car, hubby picked him up from school (since I wasn't done renewing my driver's license) and they have to hurry back to pick me up.

And I was not anywhere where hubby left me. I finished right after he left and I went home through a cab.

And on the way home, he was complaining to his father that his tummy hurts. We thought we'd not go to Zoofari anymore but my little boy insisted. After an hour playing, went home and he was burning hot!

Fever again and colds...I hope and Pray he gets better tomorrow and able to attend class.

Been a little busy today at the store that I hadn't had my shower until we closed at 6pm. Our helpers left after New Year without notice and thankfully we found replacements these soon.

I also gave away the second puppy of Pipay's 4 litters...a bit sad about that since he's so darn cute but I can't have more dogs here. I already have 3 and hubby hates Milo to the bones...but no matter how stupid that dog is, I love him to bits. Really, that dog is stupid.

Tomorrow, we'll be back to school and I'll be buying papers for the invitation I'm working on. I've got to finish them since the in-laws are whisking us away for an overnight swimming pre-anniversary.

Oh hello everyone....thanks again for stopping by my rotten blog.

It's New Year and (again) I've come to terms with selfie to blog...I have missed blogging somehow.

How was New Year celebration? Ours was a blast and my body still aches from the parlor games we had.

I'm thankful for the 2011 that came and went by so freaking fast. I hope and pray that our 2012 will be filled with happiness, abundant blessing from up above and a very good health to each and everyone.

I'm thankful for a lot of things in the past year and I cannot name them all as it is just amazingly overflowing.

I'm still here.....yes, still kickin' just not around the PC as much as I was before. We've been away from home due to some work going on and thankfully, it's coming all together now.

2 looonnnggg months it has been and I can't wait to be home. Actually, going home is the only thing in my mind right now. If I could only help them do the painting to hasten the work, I would have done it.

I'm so bored staying in my in-laws house...nothing to do the reason it's boring over there. You know what they say about how it is when you're not in your own place.

I hope they finish the work at the end of the week so we can MOVE in. That thought keeps me pretty much excited. Though I dread the unpacking thing but I think I'd be more excited by then.

Swimming

My little boy's been begging to go to the beach for like a couple of weeks now. We didn't go last weekend because he unfortunately caught a bug and I wanted him to rest.

This weekend, we had a family reunion at an exclusive place that has a beautiful-safe pool for kids and the water level for adults is not too deep nor too shallow, just the way that I wanted it...a little above my nose. Enough for me to see while on a tip toe and drown if I try to breath in.

Little boy right away took off his shirt as soon as we got in. We haven't settled our bags and yet he's all ready to jump in the water. Eager to join in the other kids that are already there. He was desperate and has been begging me all throughout Prayer time. After the "Amen"...he was all soaked and with all smile.

He's been swimming from the moment we got there until about 5 minutes before we go. I've put him in his PJs coz I'm certain he'll be out on the way home and I was right.

Came morning, since other relatives stayed there overnight and we opted to go home late, my little boy, I and Jean went back there around 10.30 for another swim. Little boy was so excited after Church at 6:00 am and didn't sleep at all. He napped on the way and woke up when we reached the place. While swimming, he was not in a very good mood and a bit cranky and has been hounding on his little cousin Lucas. We then went home a little short after. He fell asleep again in the car on the way home and he's still sleeping right now. Catching up on his morning-lost nap.

It's Sunday...that means Monday tomorrow and this is the last day of no class.

Meaning, homework should be done tonight and a little review of the coming lessons.

Meaning, I have to get up early tomorrow and back to my weekdays routine.

Meaning we can't go out tonight because if we do, we'd come home late and he has to sleep early.

Meaning I have to do the things that I was suppose to do this weekend that I haven't had anything done because of the reunion.

Meaning...tomorrow is the start of another LOUD morning in the house.....where can I buy "Patience"???

Met up with good friends today over coffee, catching up stories and a good laugh.

And I saw my old high school crush. He pretty much looked the same...and I know he saw me and I pretended not to notice like I did way back high school days.

Had a really great time and never had a single picture all together again. Darn it!!!

I have a good camera but I was just too lazy to bring them along...and now regretting to not having a good shot of the 5 of us all together.

I've learned something today...try to bring the camera always even if it's heavy because you never know what there is to capture and cherish for years to come.

Happy as a Bug?

We got our examination result yesterday and I want to jump as high as I could upon seeing the results. The effort was all paid off and my little man did really great in his exams. He got perfect scores in other subject, the others are one mistake or two that he didn't feel answering. But in my point, he didn't understood the question because they've re-phrased it. Nonetheless...he did just GREAT!

I'm a happy Mama and since it was Friday...I thought of bringing him to a playhouse for a treat. Although we go to different playhouse or Jungle Gym every Friday or Saturday. And we did. He had so much fun playing with other kids and can't barely walk on our way out and to the car. I feel like I was carrying a baby cow!

And so he had a great time...and so was I came evening.

He's having fever and coughing like a barking dog. Of the things I hate to happen to my little boy...it's having a bad cough because he throws up and would not at all eat.

His tummy's hurting and when it does...he usually throws up. His stomach is SO empty because he refuses to eat anything to avoid his tummy hurting. He just had milk and it's starting to hurt....my!

We are nursing our baby right now. His Daddy (Grand Daddy) got him meds that I think is really working wonders right now. I hope he gets better overnight and back to his normal self tomorrow. It's not that he whines or cry, he just wanted all the attention and pretends to be a baby ha ha ha.

Hoping for a fever and cough free day starting tomorrow....nighty night everyone.

I've been wanting to have one of them and Hubby said he'd buy me one for Mother's Day. So I searched high and low...and found none. July came and it was my birthday, he changed his mind and got me a tablet instead of a sewing machine, the Baby G? Forfeited as well.

Now that he's not buying it for me anymore....it's everywhere. How sad is that?

I wanted to get myself one but when I checked the price....I freaked out. It's so not worth 7K pesos when it's only less than $100 when you purchase it in the states or online. Downside for the online is the shipping fee which is a bit costly too. So they're selling it here like twice the original price tag...not so worth my saved up money.

I'll content myself for the meantime by looking at them online or at the mall.

Reading the manual

Two years ago I got my SLR camera. Hubby's Bday gift. Not the latest at that time but I still love it. At least it's an SLR...and I don't have to put up using my late-capture-point-and-shoot.

Because I get frustrated all the time it does not capture my baby's mood.

Fast forward, I have been constantly using it since then.

And just recently, I felt like wanting to learn the other features the camera offers. Also to get a good shot and how to process them at the same time.

So here I am, reading the manuals. Back to basic. Appertures. Shutters. Manual and Auto Mode and so on.

Most of the time I don't understand it...but I find other instructions that has pictures for better understanding.

It's my little boy's new love. He'd prefer going to these place to play instead of Wonderland. Actually, it was the old Wonderland in SM. They have replaced it with a jungle themed play area that are more exciting to kids.

I bring him there on weekends...even if it's a long drive. My little school boy needs to unwind.

Again we went earlier since he had no class today. He finished his exams yesterday. I talked to his teacher of how he did. They said he was doing just great. Not perfect but not bad at all. Can't wait to really know his school performance when I see his report card for the first grading period.

He's loving school by far and he's really learning a lot. Though I don't completely agree with their lessons, it's just too advance for his age. He's only 3 and he should be in play school and not studying every single night with his lessons which I feel is for grade I.

He's really having a hard time with writing. He cannot yet control his hand movement unlike his other classmates that some of them are already 4. I'm having a little regret of enrolling him to this school so early. Though feedback's are all positive, Hubby and I just think it isn't appropriate for his age. And we try not to push him to much in studying if he's not really into it. If he passes for Junior next year, it would be awesome but if not, it's still ok.

Their Principal observed that little boy is really not that focused yet, given that he's so playful but assured me that he's really doing great and is able to catch up on their lessons.

I'm relieved with that news even after I complained about his quiz that he got zero because he wasn't following instructions. He's just three and unable to read, I asked the teacher in front of the principal how did she assist rather explained on what to do. She was stuttering. I wasn't mad at all...I was just plain asking. Maybe she really didn't explained it very well because it was all about shapes and my son is VERY good with it. When we got home, I asked him again on what to do with that particular lesson, and he was able to answer.

Since the exam went well (according to his teachers), his Papang bought him a toy. A little pricey toy as a reward. I was shocked but at least, it wasn't a toy gun!

I hope he's so done with toy guns because our house is already like an armory good for 5 platoons.

My little boy's still wide awake...I want him to nap now because homework will be done later. After the nap of course. But he has no plans to do so...I don't want him not napping because tendency is, he'll sleep late in the afternoon and wake up the next day.

I know about that trick he pulled me the last time and I don't want to go through it again. I don't want my morning or our morning to be loud with all the "hurry up writing", "swallow your food fast" or "leeeettss go, we're gonna be late" and all that.

Plus, I don't want to think about homework at all.

Hubby helps him do his writing or coloring stuff 'coz me got no patience in teaching or shall I say begging a child to do what I want him to do.

Doing a bargain doesn't work with this little chimp...so I leave it all to Hubs. He's got patience and cool about teaching his little boy.

But for now...I'm handling the NAP!

Birthday's coming up. Next month and Hubby's already asking me what I want for a gift.

He still hadn't got me a Mother's day gift because I can't seem to find the store to purchase it. Yet he's now asking me for another one. I'm super happy to have a husband like him. But then I thought of not getting a birthday gift since the Mother's Day pending gift is a little pricey.

However...women usually tend to change their minds. I'm one of those women who does.

Blame it on the internet for showing these to me.

It's made of felt and sewn. Never thought sewing can be this cool. Well, I know my way around the sewing machine when it comes to making a straight lines. I've done quiet a number of pillow cases and simple curtains.

After seeing these pictures....I instantly wanted a good sewing machine.

Still not that certain though if I could really have it comes birthday.

These are just so cute for favors and I wanted to work on them.

I've already looked up the internet where I can purchase them and found quiet a few. Unfortunately they require a minimum purchase of a thousand and I cannot afford that.

But at least I knew where to get them when one day comes my dream business would definitely come true. Gizmos shop for everything weddings and birthdays. From invites, favors, decors and a whole lot more.

Blue Sky Scrubs

We go to the hospital every now and then. Either to visit someone or just simply to pick up FIL or get something from his clinic. And every time I'm there, I always see nurses wearing green hospital scrubs and I too want one. Years back, nurses only wear all white uniform and it kinda hinders your movement to make sure you don't get yourself dirty and scrubs are only worn inside the operating room. These days, almost everyone wears one. From nanny, care givers and so on. Others brands also caters to high fashion scrubs like the dickies scrubs for men that I think is so cool.

And speaking of all these , hubby's cousin is going to start her internship in the hospital a couple of weeks from now. There are discount scrub tops available since she still has the pants. At least it'll cost her less compared to getting a full set. And for her medical uniform coats I heard she's getting a new one too.

After being stuck at the store for days (that seemed like forever) I'm back to my relax mode. Wasn't able to bond with my little CoiCoi and today I plan to bring him to the mall.

I was expecting for cousins invasion these afternoon but they've changed their mind. And I'm so going to the mall. It's either to Gmall or SM. I want to check something frozen in SM while my little boy can play in Zoofari.

Let's see.....there's a lot of place I want to go to this summer. I want to bring him to the beach....I don't know.

is busy molding and making burgers with my little boy. I'm actually having fun with this and wanting to buy more for myself. LOL!

And did you know that I bought two of these Doh Dough brand today to give one to my friends daughter and since my little boy loves playing with clay these days, I also bought the breakfast set for him.

When we got home, we hurriedly opened the box and it was a little disappointing with so little molds in it and worst part? You can't make all those designs that are shown in the box.

I have learned my lesson...that is to stick with Play Doh for future purchase. Though I have thought of trying out Moon Doh...you know to have a comparison to each brands.

I have thousands of pictures in my HD and I wanted to be able to print all of it. I am now way way behind in doing so. I's like to print my everyday life journal in pictures like my fave Ali Edwards. She's just extraordinary talented in doing such things.

And in planning of doing so, I checked for tutorials and came across some other (none related) stuff at Martha Stewart's blog. A whole lot of ideas are pouring in my mind.

Gardening

And so the septic tank work was finally over and I almost cried. Because I can finally bath and scrub myself without worrying of those nasty water coming up the drain.

I scrubbed the bathroom clean and sparkly as I have promised myself. Because before that, I was gardening.

You see, the worker left some bricks and sands....and he's giving it away freely. And I didn't felt shy accepting it as I have been planning on buying some years back for my garden. I wasted no time in installing it for my plant beds and filling it with sands and adding more soil to my almost empty pots, re-arranged some plants and everything.

I was so dead tired and I couldn't almost walk. Gulp down an energy drink before going to the mall to buy flowers for Hubby's cousin. Did out rounds and found these newly opened shop. YOGO!

Have you heard of these? Ice cream made of yogurt. Hubby ordered and I didn't because I can't stand yogurt. And thankfully, as tempted as I was to ordering one ice blend coffee drink with yogurt...I did not. Which I felt so happy after tasting the P190 chocolate mud avalanche hubbby ordered.

He didn't like it a lot but at least we know what it tastes like.

I was just home and couldn't have a moment to blog about my day.

Been a little busy finishing up the invites. Thank goodness it's all done.

We are having a MAJOR drainage problem in out bathroom. I've been bathing in the other house for 3 straight days now because I'm scared of the water coming out from the drainage. You know how dirty they are.

Right now, excavating is still in progress for another septic storage. Another 2 more days of waiting and probably bathing in the other house before I could scrub my bathroom sparkly clean with Lysol and a whole lot of bathroom washing liquids.

I'm still clean everyday though. The other house I'm talking about is just a few steps away from ours.

For the meantime, I'm bathing my little boy in the sink, that he so likes by the way.

Again, my little boy and the husband are clean despite our HUGE our marriage hygiene problem. LOL!

And I had been this morning.

Been excited for about 3 weeks for these day. My son's enrollment for nursery. I got everything ready and when we got there...it was close.

Headed to McDonalds to not disappoint my sweetie for being excited as I was. He played with the other kids and ate fries and chicken. As I watched him climbed up and slide down with all smiles and really having a great time...I marvel at myself how I was able to sit alone for more than 5 minutes.

I hate eating alone and I have only done it once way way back in college where I had no other choice other than to allow myself to faint with hunger.

Apparently I have done it without feeling any annoyance and I plan to do it more often. A date with my little darling. Just him and I.

In the afternoon...I took my camera out to blow off the dust and snapped these.

She looks like a mutt when she was a puppy....but as she grows (very slowly compared to mutts), she's becoming more cute...like there's some Chihuahua blood running in her veins. LOL! Her super best friend is the cat (picture below), they do almost all things together and never a day goes without seeing them play rough and all kinds.

They never stop to flower.

They're thriving in their new place. Receiving just enough sunshine.

I don't like it when someone destroys my plant. I already placed that stick for her not to ever come back. But hey, she was there again when that area got shady and windy in the afternoon...enjoying her nap.

Apparently, I can't muster to shoo her off or kick her....we're friends. She's taking advantage of that, I know!!!

I thought this is going to die. Apparently, they like their new place too...a little more sun is what it needs.

Since it's April 1st...my first day to not eat dinner. Hoping I have the determination for the coming days to only drink this. I know, I'll just think of my clothes not fitting me anymore...I hope it'll work.

I get frustrated and a really tight chest whenever I see beautiful flowers in bloom in someone else' garden.

How I wish those kinds of flowers grows here in my place that I'd fill up my small garden with those. Even if it means there's no where for me to walk. I won't mind at all.

They grow in cold areas and apparently, here is very warm. Saddest part...it never gets cold AT ALL! Sad, isn't it?

I never got back in front of the PC until today....

And we celebrated my little darling's 3rd birthday yesterday.

Months back, we have planned on having a big party. Then the husband suggested that we'd just celebrate it at home and the money that we'll be spending...is to put it in little boy's savings.

At first, I felt a little guilty not giving him a party. But after some time...I have agreed on a low key celebration. And I feel great about our decision.

Our little boy had a great time swimming with his cousins and my besties kids out front in his inflatable pool. I ordered 3 dozens of flying balloons and a simple moist cake that we decorated with safari animals characters.

He was greeted and loved by so many people around him...not only because it was his birthday but because that's what they feel towards him.

Husband and I are happy that he's happy and had a blast on his Bday. He knew it was his birthday and that as a general rule....we cannot say NO to the celebrant. So he had all his ways yesterday.

We are thankful for all the Blessings that we have received and one of those greatest gift is our precious little boy. As parents, we always pray goodness in every aspect of our child's life and a life full of love and love God above all else.

I can't believe how time really passes by so quickly.

It's already March and it my little boy's birthday. So, it has been 3 years already? I thought it was only a week ago that I gave birth to this baby?

I went this morning to inquire in the school where I'll be sending CoiCoi these coming June.

So now, I'll also be having a school boy huh?!

What's next?

He'll graduate from High school then college then...find work....relocated somewhere....find someone to marry and then?

There's really no stopping time and the baby once we wished to grow up fast. Now that he has grown...there's no way we can stop father time to keep them the way we wanted them to remain.

I have learned.

That instead of wishing to freeze the moment because it's impossible...why not spend each moment I have with my little boy the best that I can. To make him feel that he's so loved and that we're forever here for him.

New Mixer

Last year, I made cupcakes for my little boy's 3rd birthday party.

Months before that, I've been practicing countless times to perfect my chiffon. It wasn't that bad and a lot of my friends said it taste good. Or maybe they're just saying it because they're my friends? Hahahaha.

After making those cupcakes complete with icings and toppers, I said to myself to learn how to make fondant icing by my baby's 3rd birthday.

And I never tried even once up to these day.

But the other week, since the 3rd birthday is nearing again. I started practicing red velvet one day and while in the middle of my mixing everything, my mixer conked down on me. Fortunately, it turned out to be red velvet after all even just by using the hand mixer.

I have thought of just ordering the cake but then I've realized that it would be so much nicer if I made the effort to make them, right? Besides, I've already set my mind on making all his birthday cakes until he's 7. Also, I already had the idea in my mind what to make for this year's birthday with a safari theme since last year.

So I went to the mall to get me a cheap hand mixer since I cannot afford a stand mixer for now.

Hopefully someday, I'll have one like these sitting on my kitchen counter.

It has been raining for days in this part of the world. When it rains, people like us gets stuck inside the house lazing the day out.

Saturday did finally came and bringing Mr. Sun along with it. Yehey!!!

I was so happy. And for the simple reason, I brought my little boy to a pool to do a little backstrokes and breaststrokes.

I forgot, he still don't know how to swim except for his very own turtle crawl. Nonetheless, he was super happy for splashing the day off.

It’s been year since my Baby Pupuh died. I want another puppy. But I don’t want to go trough heartbreak of losing a dog again.

Instead, I have a CAT!

Yes! A Cat.

I have been a dog person. But cats make me curios.

I thought, cats are the most boring creature as pets. That they would only sleep, lick their selves and stare out the window.

I was wrong when my Dad had a cat. The cat knew that he’s coming and would run to the door to greet him and smell his face. But that cat ran away and we found him after few days of searching every garbage cans there is with cats. But he didn’t want to come back.

Then, Dad had another Cat that sleeps in between his legs in the night and they love her so very much.

So, one day while closing the store down for the day. There was a kitty at the front. We picked her up and she just let us. No claws scratches. Fed her until her tummy bloated. She sleeps with the employees at the store and she seemed to be so content in her life. She eats a lot and slowly growing and hoping to be fat.

She’s very playful, curious, sweet and sleepy all the time.

I’m starting to like her because she likes me a lot too.

She’d jump at my feet in a playful way while I’m simply walking past her. And she sleeps in my lap when I rub her head and she plays with my fingers when I tickle her.

My Coi Coi likes her too. I’m glad that my little boy is so sweet with animals and he touches them or pats them in a careful way. Unlike other kids the throws stones whenever seeing a cat or a dog.

And we named her Sam Sam,

Boston Cream Cupcakes Recipe

Dunkin Donuts Boston cream donuts are so good and when I found these recipe at womansday.com. I thought I'd give my shot on these.

This miniature version of the classic custard pie leaves nothing out, with rich vanilla pudding, buttermilk and a semisweet chocolate glaze.

Active Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Recipe Ingredients

Cupcakes
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp each baking powder and salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
Filling
1 package (3 oz) cook & serve vanilla pudding
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Glaze
8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/3 cup each sugar and water
3 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Recipe Preparation

1. Cupcakes: Heat oven to 350ºF. Line 18 muffin cups with paper liners.

2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt until blended.

3. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Beat in vanilla extract.

4. With mixer on low speed, alternately beat in flour mixture and buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture, until just blended.

5. Spoon about 1/4 cup batter into each muffin cup. Bake 18 to 20 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack to cool completely.

6. Filling: Prepare pudding as package directs, using 1 1/4 cups milk. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Scrape into a bowl; cover surface directly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold.

7. Glaze: Place chocolate, sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, until melted and smooth, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter until it melts and mixture is smooth. Let cool.

8. To assemble: Slice off top of cupcakes to come to top of paper liners. Spread cut surface with about 1 Tbsp filling. Top with cupcake top. Spoon about 1 Tbsp glaze onto top center of each, easing it over top.

Cute Medical scrubs

I was watching Private practice and Grey’s anatomy when I remembered that my SIL has already started her internship at the hospital. She’s on duty for 24hrs and sometimes more, so when she gets home, she drops like a log and wakes up the next day still on her scrub suit. And speaking of scrub suits and the new medical outfit line today, aren’t they so cute? I should tell her to get a hot pink scrubs and pair with a medical uniform pants to really stand out and to also look good while on duty.

A lot actually wears scrubs these days. From doctors to nurses, to spa personnels down to personal nannies. And because they’re that comfy, I’m sometimes considering of wearing one at home. It’s simply just like pajama that I love wearing the whole day.

So, I hope I remember to tell my SIL when I see her to order medical uniforms online because it’s really great and she’d feel good wearing them while doing her rounds.

I have been eating very less rice for a couple of weeks now and just last night, I blew it all off!

We already had our dinner date in advance for the valentines day to avoid the rush. And we went to Ranch and Reef, I tell you, whoever goes there, could not resist the food they have. Steaks, pork roast, spareribs. a very yummy bolognes I've ever tasted and desserts...yay!!!

I wanted to eat more but there's no more room down the belly. Next time I plan to go there, I will not eat from morning to really accommodate all those food in my warehouse.

I was really planning to bring the camera with us, and left it because we were in a big hurry upon leaving because of the rain...a very heavy one.

My most awaited Cuttlebug machine has finally arrived and I'm at my happiest. I was waiting for the notice paper from the post office since last week and today it came.

Hubby drove me off to pick it up and I think he was more excited than I was because he tried it first and he too got it first on how to do the emboss and cutting it.

Now, I'll be in my printing pictures mode and I could finally make the album covers the way I envisioned it with my die cuts.

Can somebody tell me honestly how to really bake a good moist cupcake!!!

I tried 4 different recipes of super moist chocolate cake and they're all crap! Could it be the way I make them or something else? Also, why are the chocolate cupcakes in the pictures are so dark like very close to being black and in the ingredients they only require a dutch process cocoa powder and I used just the same.

I surrender already in this attempt to moisten the cupcakes and will probably just master the chiffon cake I made from my son's last birthday party for this year's birthday party.

Oh...I'm slowly accepting the fact that baking is really not for me.

I was at the paper store few days back. While waiting for my orders of papers, someone stepped in with a plastic bag in her hand and bragging how cheap she got her dozen of clothes hanger from the surplus store right in front of these paper store. They all started talking about it and some of them even went there to grab the remaining hangers.

I got curious too but didn't show it. After I got my papers, I too went across the street to hunt for the hangers. When I saw it, I didn't like them so I continued to look around. They have everything you need from old clothes, hard wood cabinets, china's, boots, shoes, almost everything.

I found this wood blocks along with the plates and I couldn't get my eyes off it.

I asked about the price and no one knew because they lost the code for that item. The guy in charge priced it for P200.00.

It has been expired and after my attempt to renew it last week. I was given 7 days to give another CC number and I didn't for I only have 1 CC.

Plus, the url for renewing the domain was acting up. I just waited for blogger to email me again if I'm interested to renew it. And they did. Also this time, I asked hubby to do it for me and he did good because after 10 minutes...I'm here again!!!

I tried blogging in my other site but I was meaning to post pics and it's difficult there so I didn't went ahead the ordeal of loading pictures one by one.

Got home so tired but really got exhausted with the unpacking and all the sands in the wet clothes that needed washing. You know what it is when you go to a beach...sand is just everywhere.

As I unpack the bags, I thought of de-cluttering the entire house. And as I did, found the paper cups I purchased ahead of time for my little boy's upcoming birthday. You see, all those cute little birthday thingy aren't around the entire year in the grocery shops and so when I see something that's cute, I buy them.

Then I remembered the cupcake liners sold online that is in the theme for the upcoming birthday, but they don't sell it alone, It should come with invites and cake stands to ship. I was very disappointed.

Paper plates are also a problem but the rest...aahhmmm so far, the cups and the invites are I think going to be okey because I'm making the them (not the cups).

I got online and postponed the task that I was suppose to do because again, I got all so carried away with the birthday. Logged on ETSY and I found something that is so not related to what I was looking for.

They're so cute and I want them! Problem is...I don't have time because if I add claying in my to-do-list...it'll be my 101th activity that needs to be accomplished.

All our bags are packed, we're ready to go once the grilled pork is done before 10am tomorrow!

So excited because for the first time, we're going to the beach and staying there overnight with only the 3 of us. It's not that we haven't slept over in any beach cottages but we are always with the in-laws. I don't mean that I didn't like being with them, of course I do. However this time, it'll only be our family outing. The first time in HISTORY!

Reason to be really overjoyed!

It's our post 5th anniversary celebration because its the only place among the few I have suggested that he agreed to (for the benefit of our little boy).

Asian Peanut Chicken with Cucumber Salad

I feel so heavy!!!

Surely I've gained a lot the past few weeks of eating. And I now suffer.

Exercising is really not my thing and I've known someone who really lost weight just by lessening the carb in his meals.

So, with these recipe, I'm hoping to be doing that as well.

I'm hunting for foods that are new to me.

Total Time: 25 minutes

Recipe Ingredients

1 seedless cucumber (18 oz)
1/3 cup seasoned rice vinegar
1/4 cup chopped mint
1 package (3.5 oz) peanut sauce mix (A Taste of Thai), both envelopes
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 7 oz each), tenderloins removed
1 Tbsp oil
1 1/4 cups water

Recipe Preparation

1. Cut cucumber crosswise in half, then cut each piece lengthwise in half. Place each flat side down and cut into thin lengthwise slices. Toss cucumber, vinegar and mint in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.

2. Place 1 envelope dry peanut sauce mix on sheet of wax paper; turn chicken breasts in mix to coat.

3. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook, turning once, 6 minutes or until golden and instant-read thermometer inserted side to center registers 165ºF. Remove to plate; cover slightly to keep warm.

4. Add water and remaining envelope of peanut sauce mix to skillet. Bring to a boil; cook, stirring, about 3 minutes until slightly thickened. Serve sauce on the chicken and the cucumber salad alongside.

It's our 5fth wedding anniversary! Yay!!!

It's been 5 years and we are still so much in love with each other and head over heels with our little boy. Being married to my DH is simply wonderful and our little boy again makes it more fantastic in a way.

We are not a perfect couple. We fight on stupid, senseless and childish things but by the end of the day, our love for each other sweetens the sourness in us.

We didn't have anything planned for today because we are going to the beach next week. There was no available rooms for today. We are having a post 5th anniversary special. Only us.

Since the in-laws couldn't come with us going overnight (though FIL stays very quiet when we discuss about it because he wants to go very badly), we had dinner all together with my younger Brother.

We were supposed to eat at Ranch and Reef but since reservation was not made, and when we got there, its full. Headed off to the nearby Japanese Resto, Nonki.

Dinner was super and the Shabu Shabu was really great unlike the one I tasted at Tsuru.

We had our fill and we almost crawled on the way home...bloating tummy!

I would recommend the Crispy Roll....it's so...aahhh...sooo....indescribable!

The cool towel...and smells good too.

Normally its warm here.

The past few day's been horrible in a way but good in some ways.

It was freezing cold because of the rain that stops the sun from shining and the crispy cold wind along with the light showers that makes it wintery like here in the sunny Philippines.

It's horrible in relation to laundry talk. People don't normally have dryers for the clothes after washing, I'm one of those people and hanging clothes indoor makes it smell not-so-good.

It's all over now.

It's a breezy sunny day outside. We just finished a load of laundry and hoping it'll all dry up by the end of today.

Regretting of not wanting this before Christmas because with all the money that I got (from Hubby), I would been using these baby.

But, before Christmas, I hadn't discovered these fantastic website that offers free ebooks downloads. Loads and loads of 'em and last night, I wanted to download them all. And so far, the only reason to this madness is the complete Johanna Lindsey book collection that I found!

At first, I was thinking of printing the entire book collection but then, a total waste of money right? Unless of course I spend another hundreds to book bind those I don't know how many hundreds of papers that would all be.

And I remembered KINDLE!!! I'm planning on getting the older model because the latest one's price is just too high for me to afford. Problem is, it's only purpose if for reading books because it's black and white and so when you open a magazine in pdf, it's simply not so inviting unlike when it's in colored, right?

I love reading pocket books and I think I can settle with the black and white. I'm not purchasing one right now. I'm still weighing things up.

Ipad would be great though but money wise, can't afford one.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!

How did you celebrate your Holidays?

Mine here is different. So busy at the store and I don't have much time to prepare and cook.

Christmas was very quiet but we ringed the New Year with a bang!

Hubby's side of the family's tradition is the coin shower and without a miss, I mop the floor with myself. And guess how much I got? 1,800+ coins...how wicked? Yeah...so happy. I thought earlier that I would not play along with the games but since the plastic helmet and the Halloween bucket I brought along was for my little boy and he didn't feel using them, I obliged, because he found the other thing more fun doing than mopping the floor with one's self.

I ordered this first for my love of dogs.

It went out of stock then I ordered the Zebra instead without any idea what it looked like.

Apparently, it's cuter than that dog I first ordered.

Then there a whole lot more cuter that those!!! The lunchies!!!

I want to own one of each kind. Who else won't?

However, money wise, I can't have it all. So...I'm saving up for the zebra to go with the Zebra bag for my little boy.

The Bachelor

I do not follow this show but one boring day at the store, I watched TV and flipped the channels. I stopped at Starworld because I was familiar with the setting and that guy was introducing the next Bachelor. London calling was the like sub-title and being one who loves the English accent, I waited a little not really concentrating.

All was said and I've never heard what he is and his name too. But when that guy (whoever his parents are) stepped out behind the curtain...I felt like a teenager for a mili-second and cannot help but adore these person in front of those not-so-pretty-ladies. Tall and handsome cannot even convey how wonderful his face is. Yeah!!!! The moment he smiled and said "Hello Ladies", I felt a swoosh and everything went blurry and then there he is, in front of me grinning and looking at me. Take my hands and ending the show prematurely because we're getting married and will go in a far away land. Be so very happy and I will agree to his condition of giving him 186 children who will all look so alike him.

Waaahhhh....I mean waaahhhh!!

Daydreams!

Imagine. Romantic. Everything is possible and you can dream anything. Above all, it is FREE.

As I do not know anything back then...I used my very reliable source to get infos of him. The internet. He's Matt Grant and he's English and a Global Financier (I don't know exactly what it is). I got to know who the winner among those 2 ladies because the episodes that I was watching are only replays, which doesn't bother me at all.

Ok, so Matt Grant chose Shayne Lamas the daughter of Lorenzo Lamas that I so remember from Falcon Crest TV series way back in the 90's I guess.

At the end of the show, he proposed and she said YES to forever, only to split after a short time of being together because Matt cannot adjust to her partying. Then Shayne married to a guy she only met 12hrs ago at the bar.

Imagine that?

Matt on the other end is dating his PR 11 yrs his senior. He claims to be happy and because of that, I'm happy for him too.

So, what was the show all about?

Just for the sake of having a show.

A day in the life

I wake up a little late these days. Specially when little boy wakes up ahead of me, that means I have to stay in bed to do a whole lot of cuddling. I so love every minute of it. My little boy would kiss me and say "morning Mamang" and that sounded like the sweetest thing in the morning.

So much to start the day so right!

Aaaahh...cuddles, giggles, lots of hugs and kisses. The joy of having a baby...err a child. Even if he's already in sixth grade, I'd still call him baby when I pick him up at school.

Today, I was still in bed when the in-laws arrived to bring breakfast. I have to fly to the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix myself. They tried waking up little boy, apparently, he didn't budge coz he slept so late the last night.

I went to the store to check on things, uh huh, I haven't showered by then and still in my PJ's. Nobody gives a damn on what I wear and besides, it's still early and I don't care at all even if it's midday.

Came back home to have breakfast. Little boy was up and wanted a Mama cuddle while he drinks his morning milk and watched TV in bed.

Got off and took shower with little boy. Showering doesn't scare him anymore though he loves to be in the water since he was born. Oh babies! Since he now loves to shower too....taking a bath takes three times...or let's say ten times longer than I normally do. And I still get to carry a screaming and squirming boy in my arms out from the bathroom. How's that?

The last few days was an exception though. I made a deal to him before we got in the shower and he agreed to no more crying once we're done with the shower time which is about an hour. Oh Lord!

I was happy of course and made a note to myself. Always make an agreement with my little one because it works most of the time and it helps me not loosing my temper and regret my act later on.

Lunch was as my Dad's place. He served seafoods that I missed so much. Got to see my old dogs too, boy, Dinky's really really old. Almost blind and deaf. Our oldest and the sweetest dog, we love her so very much.

Again, got home and little boy took his afternoon nap. I planned to go somewhere but changed my mind because I was thinking over a new house project and I remembered I am still tied to editing my besties invites for her upcoming wedding.

I opened the computer to start on my project, and when I opened Chrome, I found myself searching for the telenovela I was following on TV. Distracted again!

Now that I'm all ready to bed, my little critter all brushed and washed too. I'll continue with my Koren telenovela...I haven't seen half of it and so I'll continue my watching.

My project can wait till tomorrow.

Chocolates

Dad is home again for 2 weeks vacay and he got us a box of chocs.

It's nowhere to be found here in the Philippines and I think it's only sold in the Middle East, so every time someone comes home from there, we always get a box or two of these.

Before, only me and hubby gets to eat them...all to ourselves! We'd count how many one has eaten because we're suppose to share them exactly half of the box.

Now, we don't count anymore. Because we have another choco monster in the house. And if our little boy wants to chow down everything...it'll be fine. We'll never have a say on it.

Cellular Phones

We got him two new Toy Cellphones! It's not hubby but our little boy.

I'm so so lazy to cook on Sundays. Though I cooked lunch, supposed to be fish fillet, because I'm so lazy, I took a shortcut and it was more of a fried fish cutlets. Hubby was a little dismayed when he saw it wasn't fish fillet (with beaten eggs and a flour) on his plate. He was hungry so he still ate.

After we had lunch, told Hubby we'd eat dinner at our fave resto. I miss the wanton noodle soup plus it's little boy's fave.

We went and again, Hubby was dismayed for the 2nd time that day because, I ordered him the wrong siopao. It was an honest mistake that I forgot to tell the waitress specifically what flavor he wanted. He was hungry, so he ate it.

And on that diner, little boy met a boy close to his age with a red cellphone. And he wanted to borrow it so badly but the boy didn't let him.

He was begging to buy him a phone and we did. Two actually. One blackberry and a regular one. Huh!

Plus, he'd again charmed his Papa to get him a gun. He doesn't ask me anymore because he knows what my answer will be, a big NO.

He was a happy duck!!!

Despicable Me

We've watched this movie and it's great. Our little boy loves it so much that I'm thinking this movie would finally replace his Toy Story craziness. He'd watched it over and over and so am I. It's fine with me unlike with Toy Stories, It's starting to get into my nerves ad hating the face of Andy in the previous sequel, so darn ugly.

Whereas in the Despicable Me, I simply like everything about it and guess which character our little boy loves so much...Gru's cousins. Yes, those some one eyed yellow - tiny - workers he has.

Yes indeed. I'm excited for the coming Holidays and to kiss the year 2010 goodbye.

So much has happened and I'm thankful for those. Thankful for all the BLESSINGS and pretty much of everything of the year.

Time does fly by so fast and if we don't cherish each day and live it, it would surely pass us by faster.

I'm still doing my rounds of Christmas shopping. There's still a lot more to buy and that means, a lot more to wrap too.

Bees

My garden is small...if you compare it to an average garden, it's tiny. But I love having a tiny space to plant anything that grows and green.

I feel relaxed being in my tiny garden every time.

Yesterday was a bit different.

There were bees hovering on the side. I'm scared of bees, who else is not. But it makes me more scared to think they'll be stingin' my litte boy.

I've search high and low to find their hive and found it. It was inside the pot that hadn't been used for I don't know how long.

At first, Hubby offered to blow them off with fire. That was his amo of the day. Of course, I refused having to have the leaves of my plants get burned.

I tried making a small fire to make smoke...it worked for a while but there was no sign of them leaving. In fact, they all came out from their hive looking for me. I wasn't recognizable for I covered my face...you know, the ninja style.

And the smoke didn't work..Desperate and not able to think well, I used fire! Hubby was mad.

Yes, some of my plants died. My shrimp plant and my heart aches to those dead shrimps!

And I was able to get rid of them all! They all fell in the grass, unconscious and groggy I think because they couldn't fly anymore. Call me cruel, naturally I'm not that cruel to animals but my little boy is at stake here so the Mommy in me must prevail...and you're right again, I stepped on those bees lying in the grass after they've said their prayer and asked forgiveness from me for invading my territory. I told them that I would have let them live if they have chosen to build their hive on tree somewhere a little far from my garden where my son plays.

That was the end of it.

And in remembrance of that memorable (morbid) day...I have a swollen knuckles, not from a bee sting but from the thorns of my Euphoria plant.

Hubby and I had a movie date. I didn't feel like going because he wants to watch HP and I'm having second thoughts of watching it. But since we rarely go out alone, I gave in and watch the movie (with a guilt) of not having little boy with us.

And, I didn't like the movie at all.

A total waste of money. So much for the guilty feeling I was having LOL!

I got my early Christmas gift (cash) from dear Hubby few weeks ago. Spent part of it the other day when I went to the bookstore intending to find a book to gift my friend's son this Christmas.

Usually I go home with a book, but since I got some extra for myself...I've splurge in these!

Don't mind the Johanna Lindsey book "That Perfect Someone" because I already have my own. It's just the book title and I don't let any of her book pass that is one of the Malory Novels. If you read her books, you know what I'm talking about. Jude Deveraux also have her Montgomery Novels that I too love.

And for Bo Sanchez? I only plan to purchase each of his books published here on earth. I visit his blog too and know what? I print his articles. Call me crazy...I don't mind. That's how I love his writing and if ever I chance to see him? I'd kiss his hands and worship the ground he stood still for 5 secs? LOL! Just kidding...I know he didn't want to be worshiped so I'll go for the autograph instead.

They're awesome and looks so easy to make too. I'm sure it would be if you're an expert or have done a thing or two of those. I'm sure for me, it would take months to make a single screw, how much would it be to complete the entire tool box.

How am I not that creative type of a person? Hmmm...pardon me for saying that Lord, I am in a way of course. Felting is just not my category lets say because so far, in here, I don't see a wide variety of felt fabrics to choose from. And to be honest, I haven't seen a felt fabric in any department stores (the tailoring, sewing or the fabric dept of course) unlike in the US, they have stores that's filled with scrapbook stuff, a store of cute fabrics, a store for stamps, a store of a whole lot more about crafting.

1. Cut felt. 2. Sew along the edges, stuff it with some cotton.

3. Embroidered threaded. 4. Make the top of screw.

5. Sew the top and stem together. 6. It’s done.

These tools are all made with felt.

Another Cupcake Recipe to try

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar (not packed)

1 3/4 cup flour

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fill muffin pans with 24 cupcake liners. Sift dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. (I recommend a batter bowl to easily pour the batter into the cupcake liners). Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat with a mixer for about two minutes, occasionally scraping the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Add the boiling water, and beat, just until blended. (Don't be alarmed - the batter appears watery). Evenly ladle (or pour) the batter into the liners. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the center of the cupcakes springs back when lightly touched. Cool and frost.

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Perfectly sweet, but not overly so, and light and creamy just like you'd want on a cupcake.

1/3 cup butter, just slightly cooler than room temperature

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

food coloring, if desired

We attended a birthday party and I come home with a belly hugely close to a six months pregnant woman.

Oh my!!!

Losing belly fat is really a BIG problem of mine and I cannot imagine what would myself become after having my second child. LOL!

Nothing motivates me to exercise. Though I cut down my rice intake in the morning and lunch, I try not to eat dinner. These days, since we go to visit Hubby's grandpa at the hospital, it's like a party every time we're there an d it destroys my little diet.

And tonight, again, I couldn't resist the food. I always pig out when my period comes near. Could it be hormonal? I think so because after my period, I tend to eat less on everything.

Christmas is just around the corner and boy I'm super excited.

First, ever since hubby and I got married and moved in our little home sweet home, we never had any Christmas Tree. Of course, we celebrate that special Holiday, there's just not enough motivation to put up a tree.

Then our little bundle of happiness arrived and still we had the excuse not to get one because he's so tiny and never know what Christmas was all about.

Now that he's more than two...I finally had the courage and ENOUGH motivation to put up one and very excited to wrap up Christmas presents for him!

In fact, the other night, we rushed to the mall after a short visit from the hospital because all I thought it was gonna be a midnight sale. Because all I thought, this early, I'd be done wrapping up gifts.

And all those thoughts that I had...could actually wait till next big sale at the malls because there was no-midnight sale when we went and it was closing time as well.

Before they turned off all their lights, I still managed to snag a few things that I plan on giving to my little boy on Christmas to be unwrapped on New Year. However, he saw it when we got home so I know by seeing it, there won't be anymore element of surprise when it's being unwrapped. Plus, the husband can't wait for our little boy to play with it, him as well.

This was the Mega Block Garage toy I got for him.

So, it's a very early Christmas present unwrapped already.

And I have a feeling that that toy won't be counted as a Christmas present because I'd still want to give him something that would surprise him come our big New Year's celebration.
